Please submit all Non-Emergency requests through your myrentportal.com account. Please do not call the office number or come into the office to request maintenance as this only delays a resolution to your issue.
Call 757.790.4070 Immediately. Calls to the office, maintenance requests made through myrentportal.com will only delay our response to true emergencies.
This number is for EMERGENCIES ONLY and is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
A situation such as:
- Water leaks of any kind
- No hot water
- No heat in winter or loss of refrigeration.
These are emergencies and the emergency number should be used.
Some common emergencies are:
- Fire (Call 911 first)
- Water Leaks of any kind
- Loss of Heat in Winter
- Loss of Refrigeration
- Locked out of building or apartment

Here is a brief list of what is NOT considered an Emergency. Please take into consideration in order to not desensitize our staff to TRUE emergency calls please refrain from calling the emergency number for the following:
- My car was towed. Please contact Big Daddy Towing at 757.775.5099.
- Can’t connect to the internet. Call 757.387.6780 or email IQ Machines Technical Support
- Smoke Detector beeping due to low battery. Please submit a maintenance request through your MyRentPortal account to have the battery changed during normal business hours.
- Noise complaints, please contact the Williamsburg Police at 757.220.2331.
- A/C issues. While inconvenient and possible uncomfortable, all air conditioning issues are handled during business hours.
Our offices are closed on the following. Emergency Maintenance is still available on these days.

Leasing & Payments
No. Current Midtown is highly ideal for W&M students due to it’s proximity to campus and amenities that provide for a great environment to study and thrive, but is also open to any type of residents. Owner does not discriminate in the sale or rental of housing, including against individuals seeking a mortgage or housing assistance, or in other housing-related activities. We fully comply with the Fair Housing Act which prohibits this discrimination because of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, and disability. Owner fully complies to a variety of other federal civil rights laws, including Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act, which prohibit discrimination in housing and community development programs and activities, particularly those that are assisted with HUD funding. Reserve your room by only paying a nonrefundable reservation fee of $450 (Fall2020), and we never collect a security deposit. We offer all “Individual leases”, meaning you will never be held responsible for your roommate(s) share of expenses or damage to their individual bedroom(s). Lease durations are 11.5 months (usually Aug 1st – July 15th) with the rent divided equally over 12 monthly installments. All utilities are included in the cost of rent, so all your living is on one easy monthly payment. We also do lease apartment in the entirety vs by the bed, please enquire.
Typically, payments are due on the FIRST of each month. For new residents, your first installment is due one month before move-in date and it replaces the installment due on your 1st month of tenancy.
Yes, all residents and guarantors can access their monthly installments through Current resident portal. In addition, monthly invoice emails are sent.
We do not have a grace period. Installments are considered late after the 1st day of the month and the late fee is assessed at 12am on the 2nd day.
Our late fee is 10% of your monthly installment. Please, don’t cost yourself the extra money. Set up automatic payments at Current resident portal or contact RS@currentmidtown.com for assistance.
Currently there is not, but as stated we retain the right to access standard pass-through service charges from credit card companies.
We accept credit/debit card (except American Express), through TENANT’s MyRentPortal.com account.Payment processing fees may be applied. Check, certified check or money orders made out to BBL CURRENT OWNERS, LLC may be mailed to corporate office P.O. box 4369, Jackson Wy 83001. Sorry we do not accept cash.

No in 2-Bed/2-Bath, 3-bed/3-bath or 4-bed/4-bath unit types. Dual occupancy is only allowed in 1-bed/1-bath units, but that requires an additional monthly fee and both parties must sign a dual occupancy lease.
One of the great features of our complex is personal space and privacy – each resident has their own private bedroom and bathroom area. The only exception is for our 1 bed / 1 bath units.
Parking
Standard resident parking: Residents are welcome to park in the resident spaces across the community (1 vehicle per space) after they register their vehicle, pay the parking invoice, and retrieve their decal from the office. Premium resident parking: Residents are welcome to park in their premium resident parking space (1 vehicle per space) after they register their vehicle, pay the premium space parking invoice, and retrieve their decal from the office. Residents that pay for premium parking should make sure they park in the premium spot that coincides with their decal number. Click here for example. Parking Map
After 8/1/23, residents will park in their assigned numbered space after they complete a decal application, pay the parking invoice for their approved tier, register their vehicle and retrieve their decal from the office. Parking Map

Residents should place their parking decals on the back side of their rear view mirror. Click here for an example.
Permits are not required for mopeds/scooters. Residents are allowed to park their moped/scooter at any of the provided bike racks. Moped/scooters should never be parked/stored on the sidewalks, in building entry ways/hallways, on other grassy areas locked/chained to trees. Mopeds/Scooters should never be stored within apartments themselves as they are considered a fire hazard.

Internet & TV
Issues connecting, slow speeds or other internet related issues, contact IQ Machines. Please do not submit maintenance requests through your MyRentPortal account or call our office for ANY internet related issues , this is an added step and will simply delay resolution. A set top box is not required for our provided basic service, but your TV does need to have a QAM tuner (refer your user manual to confirm). To connect, use a cable wire (RG6 / Coax) plugged from your TV cable jack to the wall cable jack, then run an auto-configuration on your TV to ensure you get all the provided channels. Yes, every room has an ethernet port so you may use a cat6 ethernet cord for connectivity. Some rooms have an access point (little white box) on the wall that extends the connectivity option to 4 ethernet ports.

Depending on your building and you will need to met the driver at the building entrance:

Mail & Shipping

Mail is delivered to your assigned mailbox which is located on the main floor of the clubhouse by the elevators.
For all UPS/USPS/FedEx/Amazon packages, the carrier will deliver the package to our community Amazon Hub. The Amazon Hub is located in the clubhouse building 1000 by the mailboxes.
Pets
We are indeed pet friendly for those residents that are conscientious in caring for their pet.
A brief explanation of our pet policy is as follows:
- Pets must be over 6 months old.
- Pets must be under 35lbs.
- All roommates that reside with pet owner and pet must agree to having pet in unit.
- A non-refundable pet fee of $495 is due upon first monthly lease payment for new lessees or immediately upon addition of pet for current residents.
- A minimum $65 per month pet fee is required by owner of pet.
- Pet owner must sign a pet policy addendum in addition to their lease.
- All pet’s allowed are per Agent’s discretion.
- Only one pet is allowed per apartment.
- All pet’s must be kept on a leash while out on property.
- All pet’s must be approved by Current Midtown prior to inhabiting the apartment.
Only registered/certified and trained Service/Assistance Animals are allowed in the clubhouse areas. Must wear certified Service Animal vest. Emotional Support Animals do not qualify.
No other pets/animals are allowed in the clubhouse, hot tub or pool area for any reason whatsoever.
No animals are allowed to be in the pool or hot tub as this is a sanitary and health safety concern.

We provide permanently installed straight shower rods; it is the residents responsibility to bring their own mold resistant shower curtain.

Every bedroom in every apartment is fully furnished with a full sized bed with memory foam mattress, dresser, under-bed drawers, nightstand, study desk and chair. The common areas are also furnished with a sofa, love seat, coffee table, kitchen island chairs.
